Finally I replaced the two year old HP 250 G3 with a brand new Acer Aspire E 15, Core i7-6500U, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX with 2 GB dedicated VRAM, 12GB DDR4 Memory and 1000 GB HDD. Wow! My old laptop has a processor of i3, 4GB Ram and integrated graphics card.
Well there's nothing wrong with the HP 250, it's pretty nice laptop ... for a student in general, but what I need from a computer has far exceeded the capability of that 300 dollars laptop (I was taken advantage of by a Venetian tech shop and paid 400 euro).
A list of reasons why I must replace my old laptop:
1.It is super slow in video editing, it crashes all the time and I have to save the project every 1 or 2 minutes just in case
2.The old laptop cannot process video files that's filmed on over 50i 24mps mode.
3.The battery pack of the old laptop is kaputt, so I have to keep it plugged in all the time.
4.The Wi-Fi is significantly slower on the old laptop.
5.The USB docks are losing sensitivity
6.The screen capture cannot handle HD recording while gaming
Right now I'm setting up my laptop, installing all my familiar software and writing this blog on this new laptop. Very comfortable keyboard as well! The design of the laptop is sharp and elegant.
I've never had a laptop with this high performance before! It's 799 euro, similar price to what I paid for my surface pro 3, now my surface's screen is broke and I regret so much buying it, with that money I could have got this top performing laptop a year ago!
Next up saving money for a wide angle lens for my sony a7, right now it is simply too difficult to include background in the picture while vlogging, also I so eager to shoot some nice wide angle landscape photos!
